Very tempted by this. I am in the market for a new suspension set up. Am considering getting koni FSD's and Eibach springs but it'll run me about $900.

Being as objective as possible can you tell me how you feel they ride? What did you go for instead and why?

I am not looking for a set up that is too harsh but at the same time I am looking for something that improves performance. Hence the Koni FSD appeal. Think $520 is a decent deal for a lightly used product that is $650 new especially if you include shipping.

Final question, with that drop what size wheels and tires were you able to run?

I have some pics from back when I was selling mine... check out this post:

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showpos...70&postcount=8

I can vouch for this setup as I can say the performance definitely increased and the comfort was possibly better than stock suspension. This kit is designed very well and you can tell they put a good deal of engineering behind the product. Everything is very well matched (dampening to spring rate) while retaining a great deal of comfort. I would never label these as harsh.

FYI - on the pics I had staggered 19s. You could go 20's on these easy.

There used to be a time when members were concerned with low-balling fellow members and respecting sales prices as long as they were reasonable. I think this thread was on the right track when we were communicating to the OP what the kit sold for new today and what a reasonable price would be based on much much use/miles his particular kit has seen.

When did the last sales price become the norm? So let's say a member needs to leave the country and clean up their garage and decides to give this kit away for free, will that become the norm then? To accept free as payment for any kit sold there after?

Having said that, here's an observation for the OP - When selling a product, you need to do some research prior to slapping on your sales price. Potential buyers will loose faith in you when they feel you are trying to rip them off. On the flip side, you're trying to get paid for what your product is worth.

The first thing you want to do is learn how much the product sells new for TODAY (this is very important). Second, you need to evaluate the use (time/mileage) the product has seen and assess a reasonable sales price. For a used product, 10-20% is the nominal depreciation regardless of how much or how little its been used. Then, product condition and market drivers (sales trends, etc) should be factored (not followed).

I think $520 +/- is a good baseline (considering this kit is valued at $650). Shipping whether included or not is up to you and that's a number you can play with.

My opinion is neutral and unbiased as my statements are not in favor of any particular party.

Sorry for the threadjack and good luck with sale.
thanks man...my thoughts exactly on this matter also...

Thanks the explanation pat. As for ride I really do think it's better than stock. The only objection I have with the setup is the rear being a bit higher than the front.

I'm looking at getting some coilovers that aren't overly priced.

As for what wheel sizes you can use I have been told you can go up to 19" depending on offset.

I told you I'm a serious buyer, you're just not ready to sell.

Get it off the car, get some pictures, get it packaged up and then you'll sell it.
