E36 and E46 difference

I was wondering what the difference was between the e36 and e46 headers?

E36 are for E36 and E46 are for E46. Buy the correct headers, don't waste time and money making the wrong headers work. Best bet is to buy the Stett headers, as seen here:

Ok what I'm really asking is that what is the difference between the way each headers mount onto the motor?

They mount the same way, but they won't bolt to the exhaust, so it's a waste of time in the first place.
