Its there. The money from the sale is just going to go towards an E46 M3 anyways, so i just figured i give a straight up trade a try. at least 2 people on here seem interested. and why not? This is a lot of car for the price. i know i get bored with having just one model of car for more than a year or two.

Nice car, dont know if I would brag about 278awhp tho. There is a newer S4 avant running around here thats pretty sweet, all stock but still sweet..always liked those for some reason.

Factoring in drivetrain loses associated with Quattro all-wheel-drive and this figures to about 355 BHP....compared to the S4s 320 BHP (about 256 at the wheels).

take the Boost 22 PSI (like most people with this turbo) and you have about 300AWHP (about 400 BHP, which is about 20 BHP short of the RS4).

Nice car, but 280 awhp isn't that amazing for a big turbo @ 22psi, and certainly nothing "amazing". Just saying.

First off, this is a "big-ish" turbo for a 1.8 liter motor, but not huge. i wouldnt be impressed if someone made these numbers on a GT35R at 20 PSI, but for this turbo, the numbers are spot on and indicative of a system performing flawlessly...

and just saying "for a turbo at 20 PSI", doesnt really mean much. pressure, flow, and volume are VERY different on different turbos.

secondly, it was 20 PSI. i never said 22 PSI

thirdly, this was recorded on a Mustang dyno (nicknamed "the heart-breaker" for its notoriously low readings). this would be about 300 to 310 AWHP on a Dynojet.

These motors make 170 BHP in stock trim. this car now makes around 350 BHP in its current configuration. Which is more than an S4. If i raised the boost to 22 PSI, however, i would be at around 300 AWHP (on this dyno), which is about 400 BHP (only 20 BHP short of the top of the line RS4).

You would be hard pressed to see even a few cars when driving around in the course of a normal day that could run this car down. and an M3 wouldnt be able to do it.

so, in short, for what it is, this car is an amazing car. and we just barely touched on the subject of the motor, the suspensions is just as finely tuned. and it is simply stunning in the looks dept.

in stock form this was already a VERY rare car (one of just a handful in the US).

Is it running just an internal waste gate or do you have an external as well?

I just meant only the E92 will just run it down. The E46 is a pretty even match with this turbo running 18 PSI. however, at 20-22, this will pull away about every time.

It is running a Genuine Garrett GT2871R Turbo (which uses an internal WG)
