EWS Question

Tried searching to no avail, sorry if I missed the answer!

Anyway, My friend with a 330 convertible needed to change his EWS because the car wouldn't start. The shop diagnosed that as the problem. We changed out the DME, the EWS computer, and the ignition tumbler. Car starts.

The problem now is that there is a separate key for the ignition, and a separate key that operates the door lock/trunk lock. The donor car that we got the computer/keys from does not have the locks avail.

Any solution(s) on what we can do to only have one key that operates the ignition and locks? Can the key from the new EWS be programmed for the keyless entry?

Any input/advice/recommendation is sincerely appreciated.

Thank you

Hmm, you may be SOOL. Don't really know that much about keys cuttings and the EWS, but how different is the cut between the keys? Maybe you could just get one key reprogrammed, or order a brand new key to fit both?

I suppose the other option is just reconfiguring/replacing the locks, though I don't know if that would be a possibility.

Another quick question:

Is the EWS also part of the keyless entry? If I program the remote in the key for the car's keyless system, nothing in the EWS will be affected, right?

Please let me know, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you
