ALL 99 and up should do it anyways. Hold down unlock button and all four windows will go down including sunroof. Put key in driverside door handle and turn to the right and hold until all go back...

Power steering hose replacement

Does anyone have a write up on changing power steering hoses. I have a couple of hoses leaking. The Stealership quoted me $600 for P&L. I would like to diy.

Is there a DIY for the expansion tank on an automatic with the mechanic fan? I've only seen the manuals done.

Is there any DIY necessary for changing brake pads and discs?

Have done it on one other car (non-bmw) and am unsure if there is anything I need to keep in mind.

For instance on a Rover I owned, when replacing the pads the brake cylinder needed to be pushed in, which required you to twist it while pushing...

Thanks, link added.

I've organized the list into categories, it should help people sort through the list easier. I have a couple more links to add from my PMs as well!

There isnt one on adjusting the parking brake

I keep seeing threads where people ask how to do it but they always get the e-brake boot response. I want to do the proper adjustment in the rear where you have to remove the wheels and all that. Ill see how it goes...
