Will my SRS light cause me to fail emissions test?
My luck. Airbag light came on just when I need to pass emissions test. what say the group?

you will pass emissions but still fail inspection

nope. depends on state. in Texas they no care about airbag light. in general its the passenger seat sensor.
you will be just fine (assuming everything else is ok)

Thanks guys! that is such a relief! Almost 2 months late on inspection. I'l go get it done and fix the SRS problem later.

SRS Faults will not impact the Smog Nazis. If you are required to pass a Safety Test, the SRS light might make things ugly for you.

Emissions will pass. Safety inspection will fail.
I learned this lesson when my seatbelt tensioner failed. Twice. |
