Thanks! Yeah...I've checked out the site, and its cool, but they are crazy with the copyright of the photos. Its really hard to find the proper photos for my wagon site...so I try to take as many as I can myself. But when I try to do a super rare wagon like the Alpina B8 only sold in Europe...it gets rough!

the e36 wagon is cool especially the alpina but they are ugly in comparison to the e46 which is still the best looking wagon to date imo. well the e90 and B7 s4 avants give it a run for its money.

My Ride: needs more power
Possible dumb question here, but I noticed that the lights on my lift gate only illuminate as backup lights. Looking at them through the lens it appeared that there was a bulb in the lower, red section so, thinking that the bulbs were out, I opened up the lift gate to investigate. Of course what I found was that there are no bulbs in the lower, red section of the lift gate light and so my question is, why? What are these used for elsewhere? Fog lights?

Yes you are right, these are fog lights.
In European tourings you can find two switches on the LCM one is for front fog lights and the other one for the rear which are missing in US versions.
You can update your touring and install those lights if you want

regards,
mark

Cool, thanks for the info. The only problem I have now is that the brand new clear tail light lenses don't match the color of the 8-yr old lift-gate backup light lenses. More parts to buy!

Progress is coming along nicely though, although I'm delaying pics until it's all done. I've installed the clear lights and angel eyes, discovered I'm unhappy with two different vendors invisible/silver bulbs (brightness) and so will probably settle for the egg-yolk look, tinted the windows slightly, swapped the sport steering wheel out for a thicker M-series wheel like my last BMW had, have Velocity Motorsport VB3 Hyperblack 18's on backorder (until next month), and am waiting to get the car in to have the Mtech2 bumper painted and installed.

It's a fun little ride!

Wow. I'm in the SF bay area and you're describing my mods almost exactly. My new clear tails are also showing off how old and decrepit the liftgate backups are. What color is your touring? Mine is steel blue. And my wheels will initially be style 71's. I'm hot for CSL reps but couldn't pass these up for now. Where did you get your mtech2? I'm looking at the DDM one. Are you on a sport suspension or is it dropped? I'll post pics too after I get it all done.
