Universal GARAGE DOOR OPENER INSTALL Q

Hey guys,

I just received my Bmw Homelink garage door unit, it's the one that installs in the sunroof panel with the prewiring.

All I got was the unit itself, no replacement sunroof headliner panel. I know some of you have ordered the replacement panel- I'm wondering if any of you have just taken an exacto-knife to it and fit the garage door unit in manually?

If you did cut the hole, how did it go? Would it make more sense to get the replacement panel with the pre-cut hole?

Thanks a lot,

Sam

Very easy. The hole you need to cut out is scribbed or pre-marked for easy cutting. The unit fits perfectly.

The above link is all you should need.

Good Luck
