You can do so much on wagon redesign. I like a bigger doors, more side impact protection. I hope BMW will sell diesel a wagon version here in US

NO BIGGER DOORS - that is moving into mini-van territory...or that bastard child Pacifica and the Mercedes RL...I like the RL but it is NOT a wagon

Just thought I'd share the news that I just joined the touring club.

A few details to share (pics to follow later, as it was dark by the time I got home last night):

'01 w/ 108k miles. It's pretty loaded - Sports Package, Premium Package, Heated Ass Holders, Moonroof, OEM Style 268 takeoffs w/ ContiPro Contact SSR...with only 8k miles (arrrggg....except they're 16s )

Tinted windows - 10% in the rear and cargo and 50% in the front.

A lot of the "common failure" stuff was already taken care of - water pump, belts, new intake boot, (even got a new sunroof at 65k), at 97k - front brakes replaced, full transmission service (pan gasket, filter, mineral oil).

Will be starting off with some prev. maint. (most notably the expansion tank, FCABs) and a round of Leatherique treatment.

Any ideas on how dark I should tint my touring? BTW > the color is steel grey

you finally found one? did you get a manual...I gave up searching for a 5sp.

I'll take pics of mine later, as mine is Steel Gray and it came tinted (see my previous post).

Yes Sir ! I believe I've been looking for one since November last year

But yes the search is over ! It's a 01 Steel Grey 5sp manual trans touring (stick FTW)

Mod's sinse I've bought the car > New paint job, CSL front Bumper, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber wraping on interior trim, Smoked lights

Pending Mod's that I'm getting done during this month > 80-LED HID headlights with angel eyes, SSR-GT10 19" wheels, tint? (still deciding on the color)

Future Mod's >> H&R Coil overs, and little knick knack mods that dont cost much

Pics will be up when all mods are done

exterior, the fabric on the inside ones are peeling because the seat belt has been rubbing to the bottom part of the inside pillar, I'll just have to get new ones or have them re-wrapped

paint them how? color code them to your car? I dont think that would look great unless the car is black...

Well i really just wanted to paint them black again, the old ones are kinda fading.
