New Tires for F1
Michelin has told F1 that if Michelin will be providing tires for F1 they should be 18" and not the current 13", because this would be more similar to what street cars are running.
Michelin, build 13" and ST*U!!!What's next Michelin, will you say F1 cars should race with these wheels??? |

If we did have multiple manufacturers, I'd like it if there were no fixed team/manufacturer contracts- meaning any team could use any manufacturers tire at any race. That way tire manufacturers would be battling against each other to make the best possible tire and teams would obviously choose the best tire for a given race. If 18" wheels = bigger brakes and better technology transfer to road cars- I'm all for it. |
