Yeah, I've got it memorized already. I'd like to thank my instructor, Forza Motorsports 3 for your hard, dedicated attention to detail and showing me what to look forward to.

Well, if things go right for me, we might be able to race together if I don't deploy before next summer.

I'll have to get a kick a$$ video camera for that. That would be a video we don't want to mess up. And you'll have to bring your camera if I don't have one by then.

i'll be running my in-car video at all track events, easiest solution would be a goPro (wide). but i just use my little pocket camera (has a video mode) just attach to a suction-cup mount on the windshield or my roll-bar mount. no need to get fancy.

Yeah, but I have a goPro wide and it sucks. The battery life sucks. Unless I have crappy batteries. It only lasts like 45 minuts of video before i have to change them. Besides that its fine. I have a lot of AutoX vids with it and some mountain spirited drives.

Could, but I like having it outside the car for autox. I'll look into it though.

I've got an Aiptek HD camera. Seems to work well, decent battery life (a few hours) and the battery is rechargable. Now I just have to work on my noob video skills.

ahh, okay cool... maybe that is why i was looking at those.
do you use ext mic ? if so, i am curious about the sound quality and what type of mic you use.

i am trying to find a way to get the mic out of the wind. even with cotton and tape over the mic i still get wind-noise on my camera. it's not as bad if i mount the camera on the windshield as it does not buffet there.

ideally, i'd like to mount it lower in the car, like behind the seat or something.

I'm going to use an external mic for the first time this year. I plan on mounting it to my rear license plate bracket...

unless you've got a rear-mount engine, all you're going to hear is exhaust noise... i've seen this before, and it is not very impressive in my book. but, do experiment for sure.
