M3 front bumper swap for facelift 330ci - mod or bolt-on?

I've decided that even though nobody can probably see my crappy fiberglass patch on my front bumper crack, I want a new one. While I was thinking about it I wondered if I can just pop in a ZHP or M3 bumper where the old one was or if it's a mod ie I have to get special adapters or something?

Confusingly specific answers are welcome, such as whether the brake air deflectors and other crap will go together nicely even if the bumper cover itself is a simple clip-on.

Also while we're at it, what about the side panels?

EDIT:2004

if you buy oem zhp bumper then it'll fit without any modifications. if m3 and zhp aftermarket bumper, you'll need pre-facelift side brackets, very cheap from dealer

OEM ZHP and M3 bumpers are at least an inch wider than your non M so it won't fit without heavy modification

Are you talking about the bumper trim panel / cover?

Also the other guy says ZHP will fit with no mod, now I am not sure.

My understanding of his post was that if I replace the side brackets I can put an M bumper in, is that not true?

Why isn't there a sticky on bumpers they are so damn confusing.

Yes I'm talking about the bumper cover, M3 and ZHP bumpers are wider because the front and rear guards on the M3 are wider than the standard E46 therefore they won't fit your non M without some serious modification.
There is a sticky for this here.........

an oem zhp bumper will fit without any modification since you also have a facelift car, so everything will align up perfectly, oem m3 bumpers are wider since they have wider fenders
