This question pops up all the time so I would suggest searching the forum. The answers you find are going to be pretty wide range. It makes pretty big difference how low your suspension is. On stock suspension you can do 12mm front/20 rear without rubbing.

I would recommend using the measuring the gap method to accurately gauge what size spacer you should adjust accordingly to.

Agreed with the above picture posted by VMR. Measure the gap up and go with the proper sized spacer to get the proper fit. Make sure to go with a good company who makes quality parts like the Macht Schnell spacers we carry here:

Competition Wheel Spacer kit Features:
- Machined from 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum
- Chamfered edges allows installation & removal quick and easy
- Black anodized finish for additional strength and corrosion/wear resistance
- Improve handling by reducing body roll with a wider wheel base
- Included black extended-length corrosion-resistant wheel fasteners

Hey Mystik, did you ever put spacers on your 79's. I was thinking about getting some and was wondering how it would look.
