Beautifully! I am extremely impressed with it thus far. Though it's only been 4 months, I've caught my pants on it and accidentally scratched it but the dye hasn't even thought of coming off. I'll continue to update this thread if something does happen
AW + Cinnamon = fap time ![]() ![]()

this might have me on the bandwagon sometime in the future...... I am just deciding on colors for now. I have Sapphire Black with the black and gray 2-tone interior as of now. I have also already wrapped my trim with CF fabric and plan on doing something with the gray interior. MIGHT go Cinnamon, but I am not sure yet...........

Wow just wow and congrats on an amazing job
Did you track down the total amount of hours that went in the project? What did you end up doing with the airbag plugs in the front door panels? Dye or did you end up buying the OEM cinnamon ones from BMW? If you bought the original ones how is the color match? |

I really love the contrast look between the cinnamon and the all black dash/trim/pillars/headliner.
Makes me want to dye my pillars/headliner black and swap the wood trim for something else. Great work! |

I can't believe I just read pretty much most of the 511 posts in this thread, its insane - well I read all of Neil's with a quick scan of the rest. Good to see its still going and the dye is holding up. How is the paint on the plastic parts holding up?
Insane, ludicrous, mad, nuts I absolutely love it. I am stunned by some of the things some of the guys have done on this forum. I just bought a 02 325Ci with full Beige interior that looks pretty tired and the drivers seat needs recovering. I really want to do this but the amount of work is scary and just the sheer amount of beige plastic to be painted. Two questions:
Removing the dash just looks plain scary!! Thanks again Neil for sharing Howie Thinking of either doing something similar to Neil or maybe this??? (M6 limited edition) |

Beautiful interior; I've got to do it too! I'm going to recover my M Steering Wheel soon; what is everyone's opinion of a two-tone wheel? The steering wheel leather is in 4 pieces; top, bottom and sides. How do you think it would look if the top and bottom were cinnamon?

Yep we do I just pulled that off 'ye olde internet'. Very few individuals here I have never seen one in those colours. Hence why its so appealing. We have a few of the red interiors here.
Def stick to the OEM style of top and bottom I reckon. Howie |

Just stumbled onto this thread from bimmerfest. Absolutely gorgeous interior work Neil! My one regret is not having a lighter interior. Mine is all black. When I first ordered my car, it was Black Sapphire Metallic with the tan leather. But, after seeing an Imola Red on the lot, I changed my mind.
Great job!
