1 ziptie, one tiny "S" hook, and a tiny fishing wire 'thingy.'

I need discreetness, ease of removal, no blocked vision, line of sight, and would rather not bother with hardwiring since I don't use it that often.

So nothing personal at all to you if you've spent $3000 and 10 hours on beautiful setup and live in a place where a hardmount doesn't attract undo attention, or don't have a kid that allows me full 'voice control' over gps...I tell him what to do and he does it...remarkable those kids!

My footprint is a 2mm wide black strip about 5 mm high...I could reduce that even further with fishing line, but then it wouldn't match the vent color! Oh, btw, my mounting system also allows me to easily retrofit any car I drive (as in rental car) by just carrying a singe ziptie and my gps (without suction cup mount) and 10 secs later, that car is ready to accept my gps. And, did I mention that where mine is 'floating' it is firm beneath, so no issues with using touch screen.

Free yourselves my brothers...remove those blocks, mounts, pads, suction cups...except for you, in the back, who I know used contractor's adhesive to just glue it onto dash!

Don't forget...Spanish GP, whoo hoo!

Practice starting in one hour!

^I can remove my gps with the click of a button and stash it away in a couple of seconds. i can remove the suction cup from the mount in a few more. I can remove the mount in a few more aswell. the only thing that would take time is to pull the center console apart to detach the power cord that I have hardwired. My set up is no where near premanent and I dont have to move my hand but and inch from the shifter to access it.
