Smoked/tinted tail light pictures

Tinted the clear part of the tail lights in these pictures:

Started to do some red tail light tinting for some Suby guys. I'll try to get those pictures up once I get them off of my camera.

Not the usual with what you guys are used to, but here are some pictures of an STI that I tinted/vinyled his stock tail lights in red. Maybe it'll give you guys some ideas or thoughts?

Don't mind the exposure of the picture, it was necessary in order to try and get the actual tint of the tail lights to come out how they were actually looking like at that moment.

I'll get the other pictures up once I edit/resize them. The tint was just perfect in person, and we had no problems laying it over even that small raised part of the corner of the tail light section.

Don - any more pics of tinting/smoking over amber tails? I have a wagon/touring - do you have a template for them?

Also - are you going to be at bimmerfest?

I actually haven't done any amber tail lights with the smoked film yet. I also do not do templates.

I won't be going to bimmerfest this year.

I don't have anything now, however I plan to tint my rear-tails in the near future.

I was looking for something of this shade below. However, because it's a picture online, I can't get a complete picture in my head of what my tails will look like. What's the tint % of this:



I pretty much want to move from a bright, light red from my tail lights toward a more dark maroon/crimson, but NOT black, look while allowing excellent exposure of my LEDs.

So then what percentage tint are you using?
