RSM's for 2002 Cabrio?

Hi Guys,

I went to a shop looking to replace my worn out rear shock mounts, but was told that the parts i had (Rogue Engineering RMS's) didn't fit.

Does anyone know where I could buy some aftermarket RMS's that will fit a cabrio?

Maybe the brand, site, etc can help?

Thanks,

the rogue RSM's will fit, but you will need to modify them. Read this please:

thanks for the quick reply.

Problem is, i sold the RE RSM's already. Do you know if they make any other aftermarket ones that don't require any mods to fit?

I just called ground control for you, and they informed me that their rear shock mounts will be a complete bolt on for you. You can find them here:

thanks firefire,

i clicked on the first link you listed for the RE mounts, and i'm really close to pulling the trigger and getting the "modified" RE ones (since they sell them modified already).

The problem is on the drop down, i'm unsure whether to get the 10mm or 12mm option (where they ask "12mm Race Shocks?")

The aftermarket shocks i have installed are the ST V1 Coilovers (which i hear is like the KW v1 coils, same company).

Can you advise?

Yep, here ya go:

BMW OEM Shocks: 10mm
H&R Coilovers: 10mm
FK Coilovers: 10mm
ST Coilovers: 10mm
KW Variant 1, 2 & 3: 10mm
Bilstein HD, Sport, PSS Coilvers: 10mm
Koni Sport/Dinan: 10mm
All AST 4XXX/5XXX Series: 10mm
Tein (some): 12mm
TC Kline S/A or D/A: 12mm
JRZ RS: 12mm

"The above list is meant as a guide. If your application is not listed, measuring the circumference of the rear shock shaft will determine how the RE RSM will need to be used to fit."

I took that from the rogue engineering website. You will need the 10mm version. You can always call ground control ahead of time to verify, but I have yet to hear any complaints from Rogue so you should be safe.

No trouble dude. Sometimes it takes a while to get through the BS on this forum, but there are us who are ready to lend a helping hand rather than say "search" all the time.

Happy Trails amigo
