New Anyone in Denver Thread

Rolled my rears some more again today. The Oz's fit now, but I'm still getting rubbing on bumps, but its because its rubbing on the ceiling of the wheel well. No biggie. I'll roll the fronts at the fender rolling party if there is enough time. I've got a friend from Cali coming till the 15th. I'll be at the SCCA event though.

on the video front, i am trying to get my ChaseCam setup working, i've got it producing video+audio just fine, it's overlaying the data (GForce and lap times) that is taking some effort. hopefully i'll have it sorted out before the next outing, that way the videos will be a little more informative.

Soon my friend. The 25 or the 3/4 is good for me.

anthony, the reason for the heat gun is to soften the paint so that it doesn't crack when you bend the metal fender... i'm guessing you would want it.

ah... well we used it to help remove that calking BS too... but my truck doesn't really have that issue

now, softening the paint..... yeah i'll need that

Thanks to Rich, aka DA Man, and a incredibly generous new friend Chris, I am finally getting my M steering wheel on Sunday. So I'm driving down after work to get that, then driving back up to meet you guys for the ACC show, then driving back home to go to Parker Days with the Mrs. and some friends. Needless to say, Sunday will be an awesome day but I will be tired as hell. On that note, I really want/need to get my fenders rolled but the only extra time I will have will be Sunday evening after the carnival, would you guys be available to assist then? Or I'm free all day Monday as well...

Oh and to top off my week, tonight when I was driving to work I was about to get on 25 and was rolling up my windows when my rear drivers side window made a horrible grinding/cracking noise and stopped a third of way up. I then managed to lower it all the way down again but it's done and will not roll up. SO...I'll apparently be stopping by Schomp this morning on the way home to get this damn thing repaired and hopefully they can fit me in. With the horrible sounds that it was making, I'm praying that the actual window or my tint isn't jacked up. Damn old cars...

If you get together on Saturday, somebody will have to let me know where to meet up.

Also, I was originally going to either have the side moldings painted white or eventually shaved but I was thinking last night, what if I had them wrapped in CF to match the other CF accents? What do you guys think?

i guess i did forget about that... i definitely don't have a garage to do this in.. the first problem with this is it looks like the weather isn't going to cooperate with us on saturday.. the second problem is we will need an outlet for the heat gun. i've got a 100 foot extension but nowhere to plug it in.... ideas?

we could do it on sunday but that doesn't solve the power outlet issue.

The heat gun doesn't warm up the paint, it warms up the undercoating, making it flexible so when you roll the fenders it doesn't crack the paint.

I have a AC/DC converter. Not sure what the power range is, but it should be enough to roll some fenders... I also have a canopy that we could put over the car being worked on. That's the only idea I have in regards to doing this outside of a garage.

Let me check my schedule for Sunday, I have a garage, a messy ass garage, but it's a garage!

I didn't really have a choice, it's supposed to rain tonight and the next few days and it will be a cold day in hell before I duct tape a bag over my door like a pinto'd out geo-metro on 13's hot off the Mexican border.
