I went ahead and ordered the SRS tool which should be arriving in a couple of days. So if anyone needs to use it just let me know.

Also, I had a slight malfunction with my AC unit today. I had to turn it on and off several times because it wouldn't activate. After fooling around with the buttons for about 20 minutes, it finally decided to start working. Anybody ever had this issue before?? I figured maybe it was because I haven't driven it in almost a week, but I'm not sure and I sure as hell do not want this to happen again as the outside temperatures are steadily on the rise.

Sounds like either it's on the edge of being too low pressure or a relay issue to me.

Also, anybody else know what I'm talking about when I say Australia is getting its butt handed to it?

Did the buttons stop working or, does it not blow cold air?

It just stopped blowing air in general.

yeah, digital hvac in the e36 is notorious for takin a crap.

^ is that what u guys call the final stage resistor thingy.. ive never read about that thing, but some E46s have that issue too. i think it kills the AC controls.

I already replaced alex's and, it was super easily done.

I got owned by a chick in a modded Benzo C300 today. Wasn't trying to race or anything she just pulled on the side of me on 64 leaving Hampton. Hit the kickdown and left me behind instantly. I was like... um ok. She smoked me. I just cruised at 55 all the way home.

i wonder how different you guys unit is from mine, being a 1st batch E46 and all.... mine's never acted up since ive owned it, and the PO never mentioned it... knock on wood.

7 speed trans makes everything fast.
Actually...wait...you sure it wasnt a 350? Because a 323 and C300 should be just about neck and neck.

actually its more like C3xx vs 323 equal, BMW gets wasted all day everyday. no sweat.

Uhh...a 323 isn't the equal of a C350....there's going to be about a full second between them in the 1/4 mile. That V-6 may be an inferior design than a I-6, but it makes good power and is well suited to the 7 speed.

nope. a 323 is a 2.5 making 170bhp or so... i dont know what the benz 350 makes but im sure its over 200hp atleast., and if it was a 300, im sure its still over 200hp.

yes it was a C300. It was badged clearly on the back, on the drivers side. "C300"
