group DIY's anyone? I've got the time...
Currently have a good amount of spare time, so I've been catching up on some DIYs for myself (fuel filter, pre-cat 02 sensors, alternator, water pump, etc). Thought this would be a good time to learn more, so if anyone needs a hand doing some DIYs in the seattle area, I'm offering my help (limited experience, but quick learner and engineer). Specifically would love to learn more about suspension and engine related DIYs.
Also interested in doing VANOS and brake flush at some point, but no experience with either. Anyone else interested in group DIYs in Seattle? |

I'd be available to help out with any of those most likely. I think the FTABs were replaced in my car before I bought it, but would it be good preventative maintenance to replace the rears as well? (I am at 100k)Anyway, I'll available to help out until May 11, at which point I'm heading up to Alaska for a month. After that it'll be ideal DIY season, though, so I'll be ready to tackle a some more stuff.

haha yes - my FCABs were replaced by the dealership about 10,000 miles ago along with the front right CV boot. That shows my extensive knowledge of the suspension. Would the rtabs be a good preventative job, or should I just wait?

Well... I'm at 100k now, so I think that'd be a good idea. Let me know when you're planning on doing them - I'll bring the beer.

@Kringkily - you ever switch out your RTABs? I would be interested in doing this now that I'm back in town.

I would be interested in participating.
Anyone remember which models need VANOS? I believe those are only applicable for 330s or something? I would recommend taking your car to a shop for brake flushing - not worth taking each wheel off unless you wanted to do inspection. The front bushings are super easy to do - just take two bolts off. I have never done rear, are they any different than the fronts? |

I am planning on replacing my breaks within the next two weeks and then have Inspection II maintenance to handle as well.
I'd be willing to come help w/ the RTABs, I'm sort of in the same boat with experience as you but quick to learn and the diy's are easy to follow.
