Radar Detector Hardwire in Lower Windshield...

Hi all,
So I have a 2006 330Ci ZHP and I want to hardwire in my radar detector. However, I've heard that there is better detection when placed towards the bottom of the windshield. I know there is a way to hardwire it from the top thru the top console, but is there any way for placement in the lower area without compromising one feature (power to another option i.e. iPod aux)?

Also, I know radar detectors have the mute etc button on the power cord so would there be any piece I could get/any way i can fit it in?

Thanks,
Nick

for radar you want it as high as possible, for laser as low as possible. i have a dropped car so i put it near the top under the rear view mirror, and harwired it there. basically if you want wiring direction look at link in my sig. should not be a problem to run the wire.

so that button is a mute button? next to ASC? and will it work the same with detectors such as the V1?

Get the concealed display for the V1 and place it on your dash.

I find the laser detection fine in NY.
