Question for you guys - in NSW at what point can a driver be charged for a red light offence? I.e. if my car is already in the intersection (front wheels are well beyond the line, possibly rear wheels are on the line), light then goes from orange to red and the camera goes off is that an offence?

I think ull find the answer is yes


in my opinion.. you should ONLY get penalised for not obeying a traffic signal (running a red) when the opposite lights have changed to green..

not when the lights facing u have gone red..
they give that buffer of 'all lights being red' for a reason ... so u shouldnt be fined/snapped for going through during this period

Yes it is measured from when you rear wheels enter the interection.

ali, same thing happened to me and i even thought i got flashed, but no fine ever came.

I suspect it's a heater tap or hose, coolant is all over the floor. Fantastic

It wasnt the heater core luckly, but it did end up costing $420...
Seals, hoses, thermostat seal, a few other bits and pieces.
And yes that meant i had the whole day off and went shopping and spent more money!! lol. Not a good idea when i have my 21st in a couple weeks! oh well.

9's are very doable, 245/35 or 235/35 to be safe.

2 days later i get a letter from kingston council stating that the officer isnt available to attend court on the given date and therefore they will be withdrawing the charges.
