Blown Coilovers?!?

So I purchased the Suspension Technique v1 coilovers (stv1) in May of last year. I installed them in late June. They have been wonderful coilovers. However, I have been noticing that my car is really "bouncy". It is very bouncy on the freeway as well as bumps. And when i go over bumps slowly i here weird noises. I was wondering if my coilovers are blown? i dont ride too low. Is there a way to test them or are the symptoms i am mentioning signs of blown coils?

Thanks for the help guys. I just want to know because its not very comfortable riding in my car. IF they are blown I plan to use my stock suspension and hopefully get the coils exchanged through warranty.

would i have to test them separately or do you think they would replace the whole set under their warranty?
I figured they were blown. I just didn't want to have to go through the hassle of swapping them out and then swapping them back in.

You're going to have to contact the manufacturer to find out what your options are. I wouldn't recommend rebuilding/replacing a single shock though. At a minimum, I would replace them in axle pairs but I would just go ahead and see if you can't do all 4. Like I said though, it's really going to depend on what the manufacturer is willing to do for you. Really sucks that your ST only lasted a year. How many miles on them? Hopefully this won't turn into an annual event for you. Having a warranty is nice but having to invoke that warranty becomes a real pain when you consider the effort involved in swapping suspensions.

coil overs don't blow, shocks do!

bad shocks also make the car bouncy

lowering a car on stock shocks also makes them not last as long

howie, why must you bust this guy's chops? You know exactly what he means.

jsuede, howie has his panties in a wad because a coilover suspension includes both springs and dampers and he's trying to point out that your springs are fine, it's just the dampers (shocks and struts) that have gone bad.
