My Ride: depends on the day..
04 330i ZSP shocks + springs replacement, rear issue

First off, this is not, nor will not be a track rat. Thats why God (Otto?) built E30's Car has 110k on what I believe is original everything. I have two concerns:

1) I know I need rear shocks as the right is leaking. Id hate to buy rear shocks and not do the fronts. So what is the life of OE sport springs? If I replace the springs and shocks, what will give me a stockish ride (maybe slightly firmer)? I am looking to not have to do this again until 250k, so ideally the shocks, etc. will have to last that long. FCAB and LCA will be done at the same time. I do not need to lower the car, but lowering up to .5" is ok.

2) I have not been able to inspect anything, but under even light braking, there is a metallic click (lighter than a clunk) in the rear, most likely left, when the car gets very close to stopped (not when I engage the brakes). I dont think I can feel it in the butt yet. I had the car inspected at the stealer for subframe damage at 105k and they had no concerns. Would this hopefully just be RTAB? RSM? Back end does not really walk or step out on undulations.

I am hoping to blitz the suspension as I have had the car for 30k and want to keep it for a long time. Thanks for your insight.
