It's not really an option. But who cares. Just wire it up. It's not like you ever want to take it back to stock anyway so you don't need a PNP loom

Righton and looks like the ViPec88 will be my choice. I couldn't see the benefit in the ViPec44.

Nick's website says:
"Welcome to Technique Tuning, Inc., the premier solution for your forced induction BMW needs. We specialize in turbo systems for the E36 and E46 BMW 3-series vehicles, as well as software tuning for your supercharged BMW. Navigate the links above to find out who we are, what we do, and how we do it. "

If Nick is providing tuning for custom SC setups, I can't see why he wouldn't tune a custom turbo setups either?

Because supercharging you can tune by TPS. Turbo you can't, you need a MAP sensor. Since there is no factory MAP sensor that removes the possiblity to tune the DME for a turbo setup. So you have to get aftermarket ECU for a turbo setup.

I have a NickG tune on factory ECU with a blow through MAF.

Yeah but tuning your DME/Car is nothing like Tuning Mine. That blow through MAF will not work on my car. Stand alone it is and like I've mention before I've begged NickG over the course of 4+ years and he want.
I am going standalone and I think it's the best option for a custom setup either way you look at it. Had my motor still been stock and running low boost etc... then a kit would make since.

Because there are too many variables with people creating their own turbo kits. EVERY kit is different, no matter how much people *think* or *say* "it's just like so-and-so's kit".......not!

On the other hand, people rarely make their own supercharger kits. Instead, they buy manufacturer based kits (Dinan, VF, AA, RMS, etc.) which is usually a preset list of hardware. Thus, I can make repeatable tunes via long distance which will work.

Incorrect (see my above response as to why I don't do it).

I've released turbo software for MS41, MS43, and MS45 based ECUs, and none of them use a MAP sensor. All are MAF based.

I was trying to say turbo doesn't require a MAP.

For you a stand-alone that uses MAP based speed density tuning is the best option.

And this is what I was trying to point out.

Well he also started a thread on this forum too but for some reason haven't updated it yet. I'll send him a reminder to update this thread too.

makes sense, but I'm curious would you tune a custom turboed car if the owner brought it to your shop so that all the variables could be accounted for?

I might be wrong but I feel like I saw a thread about a guy building a custom turbo for a Z3M and they said it was gonna be tuned by you.

Yeah sorry I should of been more clear. I was talking no MAF. Yes you can do it with a MAF not a problem. I just think BMW MAF's are crap and too sensitive. I'd rather get rid of using a MAF.
