2jz e46

After contemplating selling my E46 and trying to find a replacement it has been hard to find a car that looks as damn good. The main reason for sale was I cannot stand the stupidity of all the electronic BS under the hood of this car. I am a hardcore Japanese car guy but fell in love with BMW's styling on the E46 and E30.

Anyways, I have been trying to find a replacement and can't find anything to my satisfaction so I have decided to put a 2JZ in there and call it a day. European styling with simple Japanese engineering. I don't think it gets any better than that.

So I have seen many 2JZ converted E46s out there, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any company that makes motor and tranny mounts? I'm sure there has to be one out there somewhere. I don't mind custom making them but am trying to save costs wherever I can.

Also, I had some questions about the rear end in these cars. I specifically have a 323ci. Now I don't want to do something stupid like put a ford solid axles in there, I want to keep the advanced suspension. I was wondering if there are any pumpkins that bolt in with little to no modifications which can obviously take more power. Eventually I want to put out about 600-700 hp.

Looking forward to stripping the car and ripping out all the electronic garbage!

Thanks in advance, if you have nothing positive to say please don't say anything at all,

Carthik

You mean Euro styling with old Japanese technology. Don't kid yourself though, all modern engines are heavily dependent on electronics.

Whatever you call it, have fun with the swap!

Yes I know. BMW's technology is quite impressive, and its understandable that there is a higher maintenance associated with it, ie expensive. It really doesn't need to be as advanced as BMW goes is all I'm saying. I don't need my ECU telling me my Harmon Kardon Sound switch isn't working (which it has).
