My Ride: 2003 320i
new guy new to brand

Hi foks,

I just purchased a low mileage 2003 320i (black on black - leatherete). It's very bare bones. No options at all but so far I'm loving it. It's so basic that it has steel wheels with BMW wheel covers.

I was given new tires and a set of winter tires (not on rims) they are all 16in. I wanted to keep the steelies with wheel covers for the winter tires and get some alloys for all other seasons.

I have an opportunity to purchase some stock BMW rims with decent tires from sellers in my area but will they fit well?

a 5 star (235/60R16) looking set of BMW rims from a 2005 7 series
a multi spoke(17in) set from a 2007 330i (17x8.5\225\45R Front and 17x8.5\225\45R Rear)

if they do fit will or how much would they affect the speedo?

The 5 Series wheels do have a different fitment then E46 wheels. Tires are tall and offset of wheels can be low.

The 17" set seems to work better for you since it offers a more reasonable width and tire size for an E46 body.
