. This Bentley diagram helps demystify:(btw - is the theory that the DISA flap action triggers knock sensors resulting in the dip?)

I've unplugged the DISA on the dyno, and lost power under the switch-over point.
The knock sensor filters are centered on resonances above 5khz....I doubt the DISA has any influence on them. |

I'm really excited to see what the next few additions do. Thanks for the comments. Keep them going.

Here's a link to my dyno results; I'm running AA software btw, but also running magnaflow cats... you can still see a small dip at 4200rpm

great thread. I need to get rid of my CEL, and get an intake kinda like yours to replace my K&N drop in, and then gonna hit the dyno. you primarily use LG? anyone else in the area good place to go?

Dunno. The main reason I'm using LG is for consistency.

Quick update. Ground Control dyno brackets came in. Nothing fancy. They were bare when I got them, so I hit them with a little paint. They bolt on where the bottom of the shock bolts. $50 shipped. Not too bad for an easy mounting point.

So if one does not have these things what are the appropriate dyno mount locations?

I asked one well known member of the forum. He suggested running straps around your entire subframe assembly, and then strapping to those straps.

No. Unfortunately, I think the operator hooked it up to the LCAs. We tried to avoid it last time and ended up pulling the shock off. (He attached to the bottom of the shock)

Well, that's with 2 sets of shipping, too. He told me $20 plus shipping. It went from the guys that made them to GC, and then from GC to me.
