Imola or Cinnamon Red on Alpine White.

Hey Guys,

I'm debating on which interior would look better in my Alpine white Sedan. I currently have tan interior. I will be ordering the Dye Kit soon and wanted to see which one is more popular on AW.

I would leave it alone. If you try to dye the tan Imola Red, it's not going to be Imola Red. It will go darker. I would try and obtain a leather sample of your current color and dye that first. If it doesn't come out the way you want it, at least you're not totally screwed.

I'll get the sample first. To my understanding, the color depends on how many coats.

I was going to dye it cinnamon, but then I saw the Imola in person. and now I just love both. can't really decide so I just wanted to hear some opinions.

As I recall you can't do red, something about how it isn't as strong as it used to be, I think something about making red dye is bad for the environment.

check this out if you haven't already seen it (Interior Dye DIY)

Lame choices

Natural or Saddle are the best "Classy" colors with Alpine White IMO. Black is great but the choice is "Two tone sucks" and that's not true. Natural and Saddle with the black dash looks amazing, though all black is my favorite. Cinnamon is pretty OK too. Grey interior sucks IMO. If they used a black dash with dark carpet, it would be great but the grey is too light especially on the floor and dash. It looks cheap and deteriorates very fast. The best interior is the one that YOU like. Don't go with what others say. If you did that every car would be white or silver. Finally, the only worse color than grey in a BMW is tan. HORRIBLE. too light, Tan dash, tan carpets that get dirty too quickly.

What about gray? Alpine White/ Gray Interior/ Blue-Tinted Windows = Very Stunning.

i want to see someone do a laguna seca blue interior redye project. i've considered doing it myself, but i feel like a super-flashy interior like that would look silly on my non-M.
