T/C@Austin Tarmac

Just came across a ideal location to test out your machines. It is near a closed airport. Guesstimating a size around 15 football fields just to give you a visual. We could bring cones and hold our own autocross! Our just burn some rubber. Great place for a monthly meet! Best thing Zero cops and totally secluded.

I was thinking first friday each month,
Aug-6
Sep-3
Oct-1
ect.......

I refuse to believe that people are not jumping on this. I just ordered 50 cones for a track. I have some track layouts that i found online. Anybody else have any layouts?

I would assume you would need to get permission from the property owner to hold an autocross there.

Charles I am up here in dallas but just an FYI for autoX

Up here I run with the CCA and here is a bit ofinformation.

1. find out who ownes the parking lot (trust me someone does)
2. tell them you have liability waivers for everyone (print some up )
3. offer them $200 for a days use.
4. recruite people and have an autoX
- Read over the CCA rules and make sure that its not a free for all, cause thats how people get hurt
- you need corner workers and drivers
- you need timing gates
- someone/something to keep track of the times
- ect

basically this is a great idea, but I would suggest finding a club in the area (I dont know if the CCA has a chapter in austin) and tell them about the spot and get them to help you set it up. goodluck.

I would love some help.
I went and visited the site today with e46_driver. I found out the company that manages that Tarmac and have number. Will contact tomorrow. This Will Happen ! They conduct motorcycle safety classes in a corner of the lot, and the shift manager said it would be pretty easy to gain permission/access.

All i need now is. YOU
Dedicated corner/safety/clean up crews
Track layouts/cones
A timing system/will store time and generate leader boards on my LTop.

And drivers willing to donate to the cause and make for some good times and friendly competition.

If you live in the Austin area and interested in helping. PM me for contact info.

make sure you disable your DSC. Then just put the hammer down. my 323 goes super sideways if i push it,. your zhp should have no problem whatsoever.
