Which brake pads would be best

I have searched through the forum and havent been able to get a solid answer.
I have a 1999 328i with the sports suspension. It has A LOT of miles on it (almost 145,000) but i got a good deal and havent had any unexpected problems in the last 8 months that ive owned it(replaced control arm, control arm bushings, and shocks but i knew I would before I bought the car). Originally it was just going to be a daily driver but now im slowly working on more of a track setup (but im a student so no money

)

Which would be the best pads for stock rotors with the most bite and least fade (dont care too much about dust but it would be nice, rather have more bite)

A friend of mine who is an instructor at a BMWCCA school loves Performance Friction Z rated pads - he had a daily driver and track on his M3 with these pads. If it was to be a pure track car he prefers another PF pad but they are horrible when cool.

I have Hawk HT-10 with CryoStop blank rotors. I've tracked my car 12 times this year & have 6 more track days left this year. They squeal & create a lot of brake dust, but they bite unbelieveabley well. Wear on them is as expected & I have enough meat on them for another season. Chas

do you have any experience with these on stock rotors?
I want new rotors but those are a long ways off. Right now the car is gonna be used for autocross mostly if that makes a difference

StopTech Street Performance Pads or Performance Friction Z-Rated Pads with Any Rotors = Killer Performance For Street/Light Track Combo

Yes. My first 2 track days I had the stock rotors. They did work well however I just wanted a set of rotors & brakes dedicated to the track. For autox your stocks will definitely be fine as autox does not build up as much heat as a track. Also I found Tire Rack to be the most reasonably priced for brakes & seeing as how you're a student I know that you have to watch your pennies. Chas

I use Hawk HPS pads and they work very well. They are loud when not being beat on so I would recommend keeping your stock pads to swap out with during day to day driving (this applies to pretty much all track pads).
