CSL replicas, VMR or ALUFELGEN? - Page 3

i had my VB3 with tires from VMR, well balanced, had a few imperfection on the finish (side of the spoke) but overall im happy with it.

I can vouch as a vendor who has carried VMR since their inception that the quality and durability of the wheels are very good. Most of our customers run these daily so they are built to withstand daily use and abuse. You do need to care for them like any other aftermarket wheel requires and of course they will chip if you are using a metal impact wrench to install the bolts. With that said, we continue to receive positive feedback and as evidenced by the amount of wheels they presell.

where are Alufelgens and VMRs made? Anyone know?

VMR is a true csl replica.. that other kind doesn't even look the same AT ALL. The only similarity is the number of spokes

couldn't be more wrong. The VMW has thinner spokes and no engraving around the hub. (you are looking @ the Alufelgen sf-71 which are not csl reps) the actual Alufelgen CSL reps look identical, even down to the same engraving around the hubs. With that said, I love my VMR's ... super strong and 10" rears!!

we sell both the VMR and Alufelgen and there are some distinct differences between the wheels that customers usually consider when purchasing wheels for the E46 M3.
1. VMR makes the VB3 in a 10" rear
2. Aluflelgen is the most accurate of representation of the real CSL wheel
3. Alufelgen has 19 - 8.5 et35 which is a little bit more aggressive than the VMR VB3
4. VMR has the 19 - 9.5" et33 which some/many have opted for an aggressive front in combination with the 10.0" rears that only VMR has.

personally, i really like the 19 - 9.5/10.0 combination, if you can pull it off, although some work is needed.

Also, if this is for non-M E46, VMR has the best fitments, aggressive kind or the regular plug and play kind.

10'' Rears that Alufelgen does not offer.

And Alufelgen wheels only have 7 of those split spokes(not really sure what they are called). VMR's have 8, which are accurate to CSL's

Not sure why Alufelgen's are called CSL replicas.

Not sure why Alufelgen's are called CSL replicas.

OEM CSL/ZCPs are 9.5 for the rear.. they also happen to be the best made and most concave.

Alufelgen offers a CSL replica with split 8s.

This should clear things up.
