Talking E36 convert to E46... hello Fanatics

Hi all. I just got my first E46 after the loss of my E36 to a recent midwest flood Luckily, I'm anal and fully insured which allowed me to step up to an E46 in need of TLC and dig in for some famous E46 suspension, power steering and trans work.

Being a long time slave to my E36 DIY repairs and just starting on my E83 (X3) I'm really looking forward to stalking the DIY section and posting some of my own. Both front window regulators done this past weekend and subframe to the stealership tomorrow for subframe inspection. I love them, but had to rip them a new a-hole for trying to say the CA lawsuit period was over.

Oh! and thank god for the microfilter placement on the E46's... for those of you who know the E36 and prior micofilter placement, nothing need be said.

see 'ya around.

Congrats on getting the E46! Shame the E36 is gone though, do you have any pictures of either?

Subframe inspection

Could anyone enlighten me on the dealership's inspection of the sub frame. I just purchased a 2001 330i and it appears I should have checked this out before. Are the dealerships are doing this as part of a lawsuit? Is there a time limit for having this done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mark

Puri - see pic below of my belated "Helmut"

Hammer - After arguing with the service writer and service manager then we called the BMW class action lawsuit hotline (together, like a family) and the hotline lady explained to us that the deadline is October 9, 2010. Stand your ground and have no fear. You have rights.
