It's tough to give a firm answer on mileage as it depends on the level of wear and tear on your current shocks. Typical shock life is 70k miles on an OE spring although I've seen them go out at 50k and last 100k.

I've been running on Tein S-tech springs on my OEM shocks for 35,000 kms now, and they have 0 signs of problems. No leaks, stills works fine. The car overall has 126,000 kms as well. Lowering on stock struts is never recommended as the shocks are valved to be used with the OEM springs, but I've never had a issue with it. With that said, I will be replacing everything with a coil over assembly come spring as I want something with better handling characteristics.
