Diff Leak
Diff I have is leaking from the cover. (assuming a failed gasket) I was thinking about just using some silicone and putting the cover back on? Anyone? Can you buy the gaskets? I'm not having much luck. Also anyone have any suggestions as far as diff fluid? Thanks again!

The diff cover gasket is NLA and is not needed anyway. Just take the cover off, clean it up real good and use silicone. I do suggest applying some loctite on the diff cover bolts as they can come loose. Also, since they are not easy to get to, might as well be safe and not have to worry about ever checking them again.
As for diff oil, you'll get about 78 different suggestions. I'll start with #1 suggestion. I use Redline Shockproof Lightweight (Blue) in my diff.
