H&R Touring on a sedan info needed
Here's my story, I'd like to throw one of these kits on but these are my "issues".
My summers are 225/40 18s in the front with ET29 (a little sidewall/wheel poke, less than 5 mm I'd say). The rears are 255/35 18s ET40 (tire sidewall perhaps 'just' inside of edge of fender when looking down on them). I'd kinda like to space the rears out so the tiny poke matches the front, 5mm spacers I think would look purrrrrfect. Am I going to have rub issues front or rear with this setup assuming the H&R drops me 1.4" front and 0.75" rear? Anyone with setups similar with pics who would share 18" (I only want 18s) wheel pictures welcome. If you do post wheel pics with the H&R kit please include wheel size (incl. width and offset)and tire size. I wouldn't be adverse to having lips rolled under but would like to avoid rolling/pulling fenders. Basically can this be done under my conditions given these wheels I have (style 293s)? just took some measurements. fronts will have about 4mm poke once I get close to 0 deg toe (I know this measurement shouldn't affect poke at the centre of the wheel). The rears are offset about 4-6mm inside the wheel well. So I guess 8mm spacers in the back are the right ones for me. Assuming I do these what can I do to make this work? A little neg camber? I'd rather have stock alignment specs but if it's like 0.5 deg neg camber needed I'm fine with that.

I'm in the process of installing a touring kit on my ZHP - w/18in wheels, same tire size you're running now.
The rears are done, looks very good, rides nice too. I'll be done with the fronts this weekend, so I can send a photo then. For a sport susp, they noted a .75" drop in front and .25" drop in rear. |

if you tell me what style they are (BMW style #) then I can look it up online. Thanks again
Edit: found it... ET47 front, ET50 rear... that's a fair bit different then my 29/40 setup... ouch, still interested in your fitment tho. Last edited by 2003 325i; 10-13-2010 at 10:01 AM. |
