I have always debadged all my cars and trucks in the past. I think it's so stupid to have all that writing on it. I mean, all people really need to know is to see the logo, but the rest is just stupid. I also do not know why people advertise from the stealership they buy it from by not removing that stupid frame or any badges that the selling stealership uses.

I've been on the fence whether to debadge my bimmer though, but I think it is about time that the 330Ci badge bit the dust. It just throws off the balance when looking at it (just like that retarded single tow hook on the back and front bumpers--couldn't BMW have just put two of those to balance it out?!?!) and if they really need to know what kind model is it, then they really are not into bimmers or that they know how to Google.

This weekend, it will be debaged. What I do notice when I have debaged my other cars and trucks is that the silhouette is still left behind. No matter how much I polish it or make sure all the tacky and foam is cleaned off, the silhouette will just not die. Does anyone have remedies for this?

My Ride: 330CI
Where I live most of the debagged E46 are 320, 323 and 325's. So first feeling I get is that the guy wants to hide is not driving a 330 or an M. Also, I don't feel the logo 330CI for example is crowding the trunk at all. Honestly, when I saw the back of a debagged M3, it hurt a little inside, feels like the guy driving it just got a new paint and didn't bother to put back the M emblem yet. So yeah, it does feel poser to have a debagged 320,323,325 IMO, but that's your car and you shouldn't do things for what strangers think of your ride. OTOH, there are people fake badging, now that's bad, I saw a fake M5 (525) the other day on the highway. I drove next to him and gave him a thumb up with sarcasm. That is a sacrilege.

I'm currently driving a 323, and it's not debadged because I agree with most of you, a lot of people are trying to hide the fact that it's not a 330 or an M. I'm a college kid paying my own way for everything and it's not much, but it's reliable, it's paid for, and it's mine. Hoping to get a newer 335xi upon graduation next spring and keep this as a second vehicle.
