We were lucky to get an extended warranty for free from Costco when my dad bought a 46" Panny Plasma. We got the red blinking light of death 1.5 years after the date of purchase. Luckily it happened while we were still in warranty. We got 100% refund back from Costco and bought an LG LED LCD.

I like them. I was looking for something halfway between a hiking boot and a tennis shoe - something I could wear with shorts without looking like a dork but that still had good traction. I paid $69 at Sportsman's Warehouse. I think they were on clearance.

Strangely enough I bought another pair of Teva shoes on Zappos.com 2 weeks ago that fit awful. They had weird construction that hurt my feet, so I returned them. I went to Sportsman's warehouse to try on other shoes - like Merell's and Keens . . and these Tevas fit the best.

Dude, tell me about it! Well it was actually a Panny plasma that my dad had bought for my grandpa. My grandpa told me that his TV just shut off and the light was blinking red. I don't know much about TVs so I did a quick Google search for panny plasma + red blinking light and lo and behold AVS forums has a whole thread with several horror stories compiled together from people having the red blinking light of death. It turns out a certain video board goes bad and that is what the 7 or 10 red blinking lights mean. Don't get me wrong I still believe that Panny plasmas blow many TVs out of the water in regards to picture quality, but my dad didn't want to risk getting another Panny and going through this again so we got my grandpa the LG. My dad has his own 50" Panny plasma at home, so we are worried that this may go bad in the near future (but hopefully not!).
