Steering noise after cupkit

Wondering if any of you guys have run into this before...

The car is a 2002 4 door 325i w/ auto - about 50K miles on the clock.

Just went from the stock non-sport suspension w/ 16" oem wheels to an h&r touring cupkit w/ 17" oem wheels. I replaced control arm bushings, rear shock upper mounts and switched to metal master brake pads at the same time.

After the car warms up, there is a whine noise tied to the steering when you move wheel left or right - kind of like an older ford... Any ideas as to what might be causing this? I'm wondering if something is now straining because of the lowering of the car?

Thanks for reading,
-Ryan

Low power steering fluid....I would check that. If it is low, you have a leak in one of the hoses, or god forbid, the pump itself.
