215 55 16 Snows???

Hi, All:

Newbie here... just got an '03 325xi w/39K on the clock. I found a set of 4 Blizzak's in 215 55 16 and I'm wondering (hoping) that they will fit without issues. Anyone who's used this size that can comment? If my calc's are correct, in addition to being 10mm wider, they are also about 10mm taller. I know fitment on the XI is tight....

You should be just fine as long as you're not super low. With stock suspension, you'll have miles of clearance.

As long as you're sure they will fit your wheels, you'll be fine.

being and xi, and having 16" wheels, i think a 55 wall would fit, what are the offsets?

Thx all for the replies. The wheels are the stock 16's which have 205 55 16's on them now. My main concern
is that 215 55 are a little taller and a little wider than stock. I just don't know how close the stock setup is to the struts
and how much head room there is for a taller tire.

You are lucky i guess, my xi has the bigger brakes option, so when i went to install a set of 16" steel wheels a friend had sold me this summer for dirt cheap i soon realized they did'nt fit because of the calipers, i was surprised, he had a 2008 328 x drive, oh well

i say you are lucky because 16" are way cheaper than the 17" here
