Oil Filter? Which one??

So I have always gone to the same local parts store to get my Oil Filter at each change and this past week they sold me a filter that is different from the ones I've been using for the past 4 changes. The ones I have been using are made in Poland and have the number 51223 on them. Never any problems. The filter I just got is the Mann but when I tried to put it in, it was a much tighter fit and it sits in the housing standing about 1/4" higher than the other filter I have been using!! I went back to a different store and got the filter that I am used to. When I tried to tighten down the cover on the filter with the Mann it seemed that it would be necessary to use a wrench to tighten and that is not what I have done in the past.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure...I'd just get one from the dealership and call it good.

+1. They cost about the same as aftermarket.

Aren't OEM Mann filters anyways????

Just order a few from a reputable company offline.

I ordered mine from Turner. I think it's a mann.

Mann is probably a better filter than the one they've been selling you previously.
