Not to down AA ( there a great company) but i just dont see the justification of spending that much on headers where there hasn't been an issue with headers failing or any defects that will cause you to have to scrap your old headers and get another warranty-ed pair also ceramic coating has shown to do negligible amount of heat resistance in engine bay because of heat shields. People have been running eBay headers for over 3 years with no issues and theres extensive diy guide. Even if i were to buy two sets of headers from bimmerbrakes it would cost less than half of AA's. Its all great and i probably would have bought AA's if they were at least a conceivable price.. A legitimate price would be 650 and no warranty just because we don't really need 1... Or offer the option of no warranty and lower price. Of course other competting name-bran headers are in the same area but if you had a more reasonable price than you would draw in a bigger crowd from the ebay group while closing in the gap of expenses. if AA's headers prduced more hp than ebay by a substantial amount then that would draw me in. just my .02 sense.

Great review OP!!! We need more of this... dyno with ebay dyno with aa headers. If one gives you 5whp more than the other it justifies the price. If you need tech support to install headers with all the info on this forum about them... weld your hood shut
Consider this about the 2yr warranty... you can score ebays for around 100 bucks.. how many sets could you buy for the said price of aa headers in a 2 year period?? Food for thought... Any competitor could buy a set of ebays and test them vs their own product... provide dynos /corner market. |
