The bottom seat that the front spring sits on needs 1MM shaved off the circumference. KW's seats are 61MM, and the springs we use are 60MM. I'll see if I can dig up a pic.

They can fit on there without machining. It fits.

Did you use 60MM or 65MM springs? Can the spring move freely on the seat? What springs did you use?

I actually have KW CS and I can affirm that it actually does come with progressive springs for the rears (KW2003) . Least for the E46 non-M kit I have. I documented some of the findings here. But in regards to the theme of this thread, yes, linear springs are so much better. I switched to Hyperco all corners. At some pt I may need to Swift them out.

Thanks for the info on the KW's. I wasn't aware that they were still running progressive springs on their top of the line coilover offering. Hmm. That link had some good info in it. The linear springs make such a difference as you've felt/seen. Let me know if you ever want to make the jump from Hyperco to Swift. There are performance gains to be had from the testing we have seen from indpendent research. |

anyone know if Swift, Hyperco, or TCK springs will work with the turner tracksports? I think they are very similar if not revalved H&R rss clubsports.

That you should talk to Harold about. Looking at the pictures I doubt it though because it looks like the spring beehives. I think those manufacturer only has linear straight springs.

I'm aware they're not the BEST setup, but the OP makes it sounds as if I bought rebranded racelands. I'm not going to go get Moton's or Ohlins for my 95% street 5% track car.

I bought my e46 328ci a few years ago and it came with KWs. I'm not sure what version. The shocks are purple non-adjustable... if that helps. In the past year I've been getting into AutoX and HPDE, so I'm focusing more on performance. I have absolutely no problem spending $400, or even more, for new spring, rather than having to shell-out the $3k for AST4200s. My question is regarding the performance of the shocks in my KW system. Lets say I upgraded to Swift, or other top-brand, springs. Maybe I went as far as to have my current shocks revalved for the new spring rate. Would I have a competitive system or would the KW shocks still be holding me back?

Wow. Apparently I just killed this great thread. Sorry 'bout that. Any thoughts on the "Shock" aspect of the KW Coil-Over system?

Good luck. PS. Harold at HP is great to work with, I bought a Quaife LSD for him; it was a very good experience.
