***Any 2JZ swap success stories?***

Looking for anyone who has completed the Supra Engine swap on the e46 chassis.....I know of a few who have tried......even searched forums. Looking for pics, approx, cost, common issues, and wiring solutions....Thanks

....its a show car, and a 2JZ will get more notice, esp. from the non-BMW enthusiast.....plus, I can get more after market parts for a 2JZ at the time

Well you drive a BMW, why dont you want notice from BMW enthusiast? Why not just buy a IS300 then?

and, the 2j can handle 1000 hp on factory internals... just sayin its hella lot cheaper and faster to get mind blowing hp out of it than the m3 motor.

I can guarantee you that a 500hp stock internal turbo M54B30 E46 would kill a 1000hp 2JZ E46 around a circuit. Think of the usable power bands of each engine.

The 1000hp 2JZ would make a lot of fancy turbo noises from 4000-6500rpm, and a bunch of tire smoke from 6500rpm to its 6800rpm redline. But you're into the show scene, so actual performance doesn't matter, just a number on a dyno sheet.

No need to bash the guy, yeah it would be cool and noticeable. Have you seen the 2nd gen camaro with the 2jz swap? It's pretty gnarly no doubt, but I wouldn't do it.
