BKS Tuning: A Cautionary Tale (do NOT Buy from them)

DO NOT buy from BKS Tuning!!!

I will keep the ranting to a minumum and be as professional as possible in detailing my experience. These guys are bait and switch artists and double dealers. These guys have a website and they sell on ebay as well.

I paid $410 plus shipping for my JOM Blueline Coilover Kit for my 1999 BMW 323i. It took a month to arrive. When it arrived it arrived as follows: Water damaged and resealed. The box was still moist. The box had obviously been opened and resealed with tan sealing tape. As you can see the shipping label lays above the sealing tape.

One of the shocks looked as it it had been installed and then removed and repackaged in its box. There was even other cardboard boxes from clothes irons, and office copy paper stuffed inside the original retail box. This is totally unacceptable.

I contacted the seller (Robert Scholz) to advise of this and he has immediately evasive and half forthright. Id ask a series and he would be evasive and give half answers or conveniently leave one question (what are you willing to do to make this right?) unanswered. Only after much prodding was I able to get a list of components to ascertain if there were any missing parts, why there was foreign packing material and an email to which to send pictures of box and contents.

The seller claimed the boxes are OPENED to be repacked with extra cushioning to secure its contents from damage. He hid behind the usual, "was the delivery service notified at time of delivery".

I wasn't trying to be difficult/ Basically what I was looking for was a partial refund. To make a long story short, they hid behind procedures and my unwillingness to repack an item in a NEW BOX because the original was COMPLETELY unusable.

Ive been waiting for days for these guys to give me some sort of answer. None yet. This is the price they pay. People gather on the internet and communally discuss and decide whether or not they as a business, suck. They do.

Happy Motoring,
TJ
