If only you had a valid point to make

I've got a signed Photograph of Jordan wearing #23 on my the wall in my living room. I'm not hating, just stating the facts
I think the fact that Jordan did not need players of equal or better caliber on his team to win 6 rings is point enough

The thing is lebron and wade are probably 2 of the top 3 players in the nba. Lebron should be trying to be the best of his era not joining up with someone who could top him. Lebron shouldve went to the knicks him and amare couldve been a good team. Wonder who would get the finals mvp if the heat ever make it.

imagine if Wade and Bosh signed in Chicago, this would be the best starting 5 in the league.

PG - Rose
SG - Wade
SF - Deng
PF - Bosh
C - Noah

and they'd actually have a bench that didn't have a median age of 35

eh. i don't think noah is an ideal center, especially against big strong centers in the league.

right. but keep in mind that jordan wasn't able to win until phil jackson came along, much like shaq/kobe weren't able to win until PJ. if cleveland had a better coach, lebron may had been able to win there, especially since the talent surrounding him the last 2 years weren't all that shabby. bottom line is that you have to look at phil jackson as a superstar as well, cuz it'd be interesting to see if jordan would had been able to win 6 rings without the coaching of PJ. i, personally, doubt it.

That would have been amazing. Sucks we lost half of the Blackhawks too. On the plus side, the Bears are some how 4-1 . **** the Cubs. Yea I said it

are you serious? how many "big strong centers" are there? Bynum, Howard, and??? Noah's a stud, he's in a select group of centers who can give you 10ppg, 10rpg, 2bpg and a TON of energy. he's a defensive anchor who doesn't need to give much offense when paired with Boozer and Deng.

there's a reason they didn't want to give him up for 'Melo, who is a top 10 player in the league. its all about balance and Noah would be wanted by 90% of the teams. how many double-double centers who can block shots are there? not many.

okay, fact is jordan won his rings because of phil jackson and vice versa. basketball is a team sport, and coaching is just as important, if not more, than any individual talent on its own.

bottom line is that jordan did not and could not do it on his own. be it good coaching, good management, good complimentary role players, and/or good team chemistry, etc., there is a recipe to jordan's championship successes, other than his own personal talents. the 2K10-11 heat may have 3 superstars, but do they have the other pertinent ingredients to get them to the finish line? only time will tell...

NO they don't...I think that's the whole point you're missing. Not debating whether or not MJ coulda done it without this guy or that guy. HE DID IT and he didn't join Barkley or Olajuwan or Ewing or anyone else for that matter, that's ALL!

that's a very naive perspective. the game of basketball, or any sport for that matter, is composed of more than just athletes and talents. sure athletes get the spotlight, but there are other equally, if not more, pertinent elements involved in the success of a team.
