It has the double C logo which matches his purse.

Why stop there? For $0 you can simply throw everything into your pocket, or reuse a zip-lock bag

I like Tumi for their messenger bags / computer cases, but I find their leather a little to firm for my taste when it comes to wallets. The Coach wallet is a bit softer. I realize they'll wear out faster, but it's a personal preference I guess.

I thought that would be straightforward enough for you. I'm calling your wallet effeminate. Your wallet uses the same pattern (double C logo) as many Coach purses, hence, it would match your purse.

You realize Coach makes more than purses? I don't see what's odd about their logo appearing on a product they make... do you?

Yes, PK, I realize they make more than purses. I have a full leather Coach wallet myself. The double C logo is prominently displayed on a lot of their women's products which is why that logo is commonly associated with their women's line, rather than men's.

Bottom line is, you bought a chick-ish wallet. Feel free to continue pondering why someone would think it looks feminine.
