Snap-On Solus w/ 2009 European module. We've been screwing around with some e39 ABS/ traction codes & the Vanos codes on my e92. I haven't been stumped yet. Not saying it's a BMW scanner but I'd love to stump it so I know it's limitations & would be willing to give a try on some locals.

+1 its about $100 for a nice craftsman from sears. Definetely invest it one.

That tool has PLENTY of limitation including wrong codes and definitions.....

I get cars from shops that use that tool. Last week car came in from shop XXXXX that claimed an E83 needed and ABS module due to no com with the Snap on solus. We scanned the module fine reset the codes and aligned the steering angle sensor. problem fixed.

2001 z3 car had supposed code for steering angle sensor, was actually the lateral acceleration sensor.

It can be a good tool just don't trust your life with it

It also cannot program or code modules or align sensors.

I had code(s)
5DB3 REAR LEFT ABS PULSE GENERATOR.

Took 10 minutes from wheels up to wheels down to replace the sensor. Cost $136 after tax.

My gas gauge was fluctuating when turning and stuff when the lights were on, the problem self corrected once I replaced the ABS Sensor.

Did you see the nice crack in it where water got in and shorted the connections

...Had to drive back 60 miles from Afton today. Dunlop WinterSport M3 FTMFW!!! Nothing stopped me, and we went through some deep snow (4-5inches)
Oh, and I realized how good our DSC system is!

My M is tucked in the garage & i took the xdrive loaner I have from Motorwerks to work at 5 this morning. bout 2 miles of unplowed roads with stock runflats to get to the plowed section. was actually impressed. We have Wintersport 3D on the M & LM22s on her Xi. Never have i had an issue.

still tossed on what car to take to Minot for Christmas to visit her family. Took the 550 last year and it was good but Minot might see the Xi now that it's properly winter equipped as the snow gets deep as hell up there

minot got alot of snow!! we were near there testing for the season

How were the Alps dude? That is one resort in MN I've never skiied, although I have hit it on my mtn bike.

It was a good trip, over half of the runs were open and they had lots of fresh powder on some runs. The terrain park barely had anything. Just a few boxes and rails. Snow was packed down the perfect amount.

Its great, I was just there yesterday replacing install adjustable control arms. They have all the tools you could possibly need, and working with the car 10ft in the air makes work go that much quicker and smoother!
Definitely check it out, I will probably be there next weekend doing cooling system repairs.

...Need a new upper trailing arm
