New 2011 Navigation DVD with speed cams and police traps - review

I got the brand new 2011 navigation map DVDs from http://www.bmwnavigationmaps.com and here is my brief product review.

The version I bought comes with Police Speed Traps and Speed Cameras. I have not tried the speed cameras yet, but the police speed traps work great! I already located two cop hiding places thanks to the navigation map and sure enough the cops were there with radar on! All in all I paid $48 for the East coast disc and I could not be happier.

If anybody wants inexpensive 2011 maps check them out.

Glad to hear. Ive read a ton of positive reviews on m5board about the same product. Ill have to give it a try sometime soon.

+1 on this review... Also, i tried out the speed camera locations and they are spot on!!! i had an original 2002.1 nav disk in this beforehand so the difference is AMAZING!! highly recommended!!!

Are these DVD copies or originals? If they are copies are they the good quality copies or the shoddy ones with the purple hue on the underside?

difference between high and pro?

High is for our cars that use the MKIV dvd and PRO is for newer cars with the i-drive system

He sold the whole set.
These discs seem like a great buy. The M5board guys raved about it.

i just picked up a vert as well. Where'd you get the wind-defusor?

Also was wondering if you upgraded the speakers in your car? I'm looking to change the speakers, but don't know which ones to get that would fit for the rears. I've heard that they are a pretty tight fit and that i'd have to find a shallow 5.25.

Received my copy Saturday, upgraded from 2009.1. Made a huge difference in North County San Diego. Yes, it looks like a copy... but I could be wrong. Super fast shipping, I would recommend upgrading if you have not yet.

Quick question...I have v.27 software, and don't feel any need to update, as the guy who installed it at a dealer, no less, kindly installed it as England, so I don't get the warning screen. I get yards instead of feet.

Does this disc require you upgrade your OS for the nav system ? I just want the updated maps, I have enough spots that have have been rebuilt, and NYC has a lot of $cameras for red lights. I don't run reds, even at 3am, but if you get gridlocked you will be a "red light runner" and get a ticket. Unfair, but as this is a revenue raiser, I get "it".

You don't need any firmware upgrades to run ann BMW Navigation DVDs. Its plug and play for all year maps, so this one is no different. The Speed Camera warnings are fantastic and have saved my butt many times in DC and NYC.

I wonder if these discs burn out the laser?
