Is my Ice>link dead?
Run into a problem recently with my very old ice>link. I have the headunit version installed in my 2002 e46 non mp3 business cd headunit.
When I turn on the car and press the mode button to change over to the icelink, it's no longer there as a selectable mode. I only have radio and CD now, it's almost as if it completely disappeared. Is there anything I can do to try and reset it or something or is this thing completely dead? If it is dead, what's the best/cheapest way to replace/upgrade the unit? Can I simply install the silverline pro module using the same wiring harness and everything that's already installed?

Did you try resetting the iPod. I took the iPod out of the trunk and reset it so that the white Apple logo showed on the power up. This sort of things has happened to me twice and the ice>link came back to life.

The only thing that seems to be working for me thus far is pulling fuses 7 and 41. That somehow resets the unit and it becomes visible in the list of modes. What I've also found is when it's extremely cold outside, on a cold start, the icelink is lost. However if I start the car up after a drive and the car's already a bit warm, the icelink magically appears. It's like the cold is killing it.
